Visit us at Strategy Games Con in August! – The Oracle

I know it seems like only yesterday we were in London for the MCM Comicon and the UK Games Expo but we’re already getting close to our next big event; the Strategy Games Con! This is brilliant news for anyone who might live a bit farther from London and hasn’t had the chance to see us yet. The event is going on from the 25th-28th of August at the International Centre in Telford. The event is run by the same folks as MCM and Ed will be talking in two workshops on Game Production so be sure to sign up for that. As always, bring yourself and a friend because we’ll be ready to play some games!

I’ve got a dash of good news and a smattering of unfortunate news for you today. First, the good news! Era: Silence is over 75% funded in its Kickstarter debut and that’s fantastic news because Ed has loads of great things planned for this game. It’s really an entirely new way to play roleplaying games and we know you’re going to love this unique approach. If you’d like to see this game get funded and reach some stretch goals, the best thing you can do is to spread the word. Tell your friends and anyone who’ll listen.

More good news, Mikhail (the artist who worked with us on Era: Survival) has agreed to continue to work with us on expansions! He created some of the most memorable scenes in that game and I’m excited to see what he’s going to come up with next. Welcome aboard Mikhail, we’re thrilled to have you with us.

Alright, it’s down to the bad news now. No sense in stalling, I can see you want to know. Well, we’ve hit a snag on the new website that’s going to delay the release. I’m not sure how long the delay will be but Ed assures me he is doing everything he can to fix this technical issue and get it up and running soon.

Also in the bad news department we seem to have misplaced our artist for the Lacuna comic. I remember putting him next to the car keys at one point but from there I really can’t recall. Now, I won’t rule out the possibility of evil genius involvement so if you happen to see any super villains running around please do let us know. In the meantime, Ed is on the hunt for a superb replacement and we still hope to deliver the comic on time… pending further interruptions from mad scientists, warlords, or power crazy sorcerers. We’ll do our best!

See you again next time!
