The Era Zone Issue 15 – Era: Soulmist Prototype

Welcome to the the latest issue of The Era Zone, our zine which offers prototypes of our game ideas that have not made it to production (“yet”, in some cases!).

This issue features a prototype for Era: Soulmist, our latest idea which is inspired by Dark Souls and aims to bring the fast-paced combat and a similar huge dark fantasy world to your tabletop.

“Let me tell you of secrets meant to be lost, of a mist spreading over the whole world.

Let me tell you of a king’s folly and corruption, of his fear.

Let me tell you of the gods and their greed, their burning desire to consume.

Let me tell you the history of Moll, which will soon be the affliction of the world.”

When the mist appeared, most didn’t realise the significance at first.

It just crept in from the sea, spreading across the region, eventually covering the whole kingdom.

Then people stopped staying dead.

It was not long before someone realised that taking the soul from another living person meant that they could live longer.

Carnage followed as many of the population of the great city were slaughtered. And so, some might argue that we deserved what came next.
