New art for Era: Lyres! – The Oracle

If you haven’t already caught it, Era: Lyres has some great new art!

Sofia Michailidou is the artist behind these images and she’s really captured the spirit of the game.

You can find a few of her pieces on our sub-site front page banner right now but we’ll have to wait for the Kickstarter to see more.

Drive-Cut down

The game itself is moving right along and we ran through a playtest over the weekend which went really well. The players loved it and we were able to make some good changes to the mechanics. This is going to be a fun game and I’m very excited to see where it goes. For a look at how one adventure might end up, read our first story;  Manticore’s Prize.

That’s all for now, check back next week for more updates!

ASA Physical Primers are being delivered! – The Oracle

We have just sent off orders for the Amazing Space Adventures Physical Primers and expect those to be delivered soon to all our backers who chose one. Check that you get yours.

With the delivery of this Physical Primer that completes the journey we started with Wayne Brown and his great project. Everyone here had a great time working with him and with Amazing Space Adventures. We will continue to carry the Primer in our store and, of course, we will offer them at conventions so you’ll still be seeing this game around. We wish Wayne all the best and continued success with Amazing Space Adventures!

Our other games are moving along steadily as well.

Marked for Death has decided to hire our very own Sofia Michailidou for their artwork. She was a great addition to the Era: Consortium team and we know she’s going to do great things for this project as well. You can find a sample of her work on the Era: Consortium Artwork page where she provided all the character art, and is the main artist for Era: Lyres. I will post new images as soon as I can get them.

Our last update this week is for Order of the Link. We’re currently working on the creation of a video that will be used in their Kickstarter campaign. You can expect to see some details by the game’s creator as well as some game art.

I’ll be getting more for you next week!

Marketing Assistance needed at MCM Comicon London in May – The Oracle

Shades of Vengeance is looking for someone to help out during the MCM Comicon event in London (May 22nd – 24th). It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that will get you free access to the event while seeing some of what happens behind the scenes.

Along with free access for all three days we’re also going to teach you more about the games that we’ll be bringing, give you time for breaks so you can look around the event and on top of that we’re even willing to throw in a small hourly payment. How’s that for having your cake and eating it too?

We expect to see a huge turn out at this event and we’re going to need all the help we can get. The application process will be casual, however there are a few criteria you’ll have to meet in order to take part.

We need folks who can commit to attending all three days. If you live in London this would be perfect. However, if you’re already planning to attend but you’ll have to fly, drive, take a bus or hop on a train that’s fine with us too; just as long as you show up. I’ll mention right up front here that accomodation, transportation and food are all on your own. Well, we’ll probably bring sandwiches to the convention, and I guess you can share.

You may be asking yourself; “This looks great but what exactly do you want me to do?” Well, it’s simple, we need an enthusiastic person who can chat with the folks walking by, get them interested in what we’re doing and even sit them down to play a test game with our team of GMs.

It’s not necessary that you be a sales genius or have played RPG games since you were five years old (though both of those would be helpful!). What we’re looking for most is a great attititude and the ability to help get others excited about our games.

If you’re interested, please send us an email detailing any relevant experience with sales, the playing of RPG games or other facts you think we might enjoy hearing about. We will set up a Skype interview with the top candidates to determine the finalist. This position will be open until we find the best person for the job.

Best of luck to you!

Digital Primers have Arrived! – The Oracle

Are you checking your email?

Digital Primers have now been sent out to all our Kickstarter backers who will receive one. If you’re someone who should be getting one and it hasn’t showed up yet; first check that it didn’t get caught up in your spam filter and if it’s still not there then please shoot us a message.

So now that the newest version of the Primer has been sent out this means that the v1.0 Primer will now be offered in place of the old v0.8 in our store. To get the skinny on the difference between the two check out our special “Rules v0.8 to v1.0” page, which explains in detail – it’s not a bit difference.

Physical Primers have been ordered and we’re hoping to have them in stock shortly. I’ll let you know when they are going to be shipped out to backers. Our friends in the U.S. will need to wait a bit longer as we’re still being held up with the U.S. version of the proof. However, once that comes back we’re ready to start printing those as well. Here’s a quick look at the finished product for the non U.S. versions.

IMG_0118 websafe IMG_0123 websafe IMG_0124 websafe

Along with the Primers, all the Kickstarter backers who chose this reward should expect the Time Travel Campaign sessions pack. This should have arrived at the same time as your Digital Primer and contain 5 sessions. For all you Physical Primer folks, we’ll send it out at the same time that we mail your Physical Primers. Anyone who didn’t get on board with the Kickstarter can still pick these up in our store.

My last bit of news before I leave you is for our second comic; Counting Down From One. We’ve entered the inking stage where it’s taking shape and we expect to have the first pages in hand by the time this post goes out. I won’t have an image for you just yet but stick around and I’ll get one out just as fast as I can.

Now get out there and enjoy your weekend!

Just busy enough!

Hi everyone!

It’s been a pretty busy week for me…

I’ve been working to get the first of the proofreading changes into the final rulebook and shipping out the Digital Primers for Era: The Consortium, transitioning into more intensive work with Marked For Death, working with our artists on Era: Lyres, Counting Down From One (the new comic) and our new and highly secret game, finishing off Amazing Space Adventures, finalising the arrangements for MCM Comicon in May and opening negotiations with two new game creators who want to work with us.

I suppose you guys must be thinking, “Sounds easy enough. What do you do with the other hand?”

I don’t really have an answer for that… I’d better get back to work!

New Games in the Works! – The Oracle

If you can’t get enough fabulous science fiction based games, and frankly I know I can’t, then you’re in luck! Shades of Vengeance is currently in negotiations with two more game creators. Both are set in science fiction worlds with one being near future and the other a much farther futuristic vision. I don’t have more information than that right now but I’ll keep you posted as the details come rolling in.

While we’re getting things started with these new games we’ve decided to make some changes to our website. Shades of Vengeance is taking on a bit of a new look and in order to do that we’ve hired a professional graphic designer who’s going to tweak and tuck to make us look sharp. It won’t be completely different but you may have started to notice some style changes already.

Along with the appearance of the site, we’ve also changed up some things in our store. The biggest news is that the Amazing Space Adventures physical primer is now available for purchase!  We’re really excited to get this one out to our Kickstarter backers and for those of you who didn’t get a chance to be a part of that event then here’s your opportunity. Head on over to our store and pick one up for yourself.

The only other change I have to announce this week is that we’ve now taken down the Consortium Kickstarter rewards which were posted on our site for a special extended period. Not to worry, you can still find the Last Stand of Stilleto Unit comic as well as both the digital and physical Rulebook Primers. Go and take a look in our store to check out some of these changes. We’ll be offering the Full Rulebook, Digital and Physical there as soon as they are ready, of course, as well.

Looking forward to more news and happenings next week!

Dice and Stuff Season 2 has begun!

Hello everyone and welcome to Dice and Stuff!

…Wait, that’s not my line!

Dice and Stuff has begun Season 2 of their Podcast, which follows the intrepid adventures of the crew of the Wallace, a Resistance ship at the disposal of Claymore Unit.

They guys over at Dice and Stuff are doing a great job, and the podcasts are fun to listen to, so highly recommended. As an avid listener myself, I’ll be posting a weekly slot here, reminding you to go listen!

This week, Episode 17 covers the fallout from the end of Season 1 – the Wallace is out of control, Lancier has lost his arm and Zani is flying around space in a tank with Trisha clinging to the side!

If you’ve missed any previous episodes, you can find them all at Dice and Stuff’s website.

Manticore’s Prize – The Oracle

The first story for Era: Lyres is ready! If you’ve been following our page then you know that Lyres is a game based upon creating fantastic tales of adventure and heroism that your heroes have never actually done.

Sometimes you’ll win fame and fortune but sometimes you’ll end up sleeping in the streets.

Check out this preview of how one small adventuring company fares at the Cozy Creature Inn.

Back to updates next week!

Everyone Has Something New – The Oracle

This week I have a little bit for everybody, whether you’re an Amazing Space Adventures fan or you just can’t wait to hear more about Order of the Link.

First off I’d like to welcome Marked For Death to its very own webpage. The space is new and we’re filling it up with as much detail as we can right now. While the art you’ll find on the page is not official game artwork it will give you an idea of the style we’re looking at. Stop in and find out more about our newest neighbour.

From the latest to one of our first; Amazing Space Adventures has hit a major milestone. We are sending in printing orders for the Rulebook Primer! Those books should start being shipped out soon to all our generous backers who chose the physical reward. I’ll let you know more as soon as we get specifics from shipping. It won’t be long now until you’ll have it in your hands!

Last and certainly not least I thought I’d finish the update this week with some eye candy for your day. Order of the Link has a cover image! Keith Draws has done a fabulous job at creating something intriguing, enticing and beautiful.

See you next week!

The Consortium Universe Is Coming To You! – The Oracle

Digital Primers are ready!

We’re pushing this forward just as fast as we can. Copies of the Digital Primer will start going out the week of January 19th for all you fantastic folks who backed us in the Kickstarter and chose this reward. Be sure to look for it in your inbox and double check that it didn’t get lost in spam filter purgatory. If you’re sad because all your friends got one and you didn’t, you can grab one from our store.

The proofs from our printed Primer will be coming in shortly and I’ll pass along photos of them just as soon as I get them.

Aside from all that exciting news about the primers I’ve got one last thing for you this week. Do you remember last week when I promised you a look at our new comic artist? Well I always keep my promises; unless I forget. So here it is; Johan Mandanin’s penciled work for Counting Down From One. He’s going to be a great compliment to all the other amazing artists that we’ve had work within the Consortium universe.

I can’t wait to see more!

Primers!

Hi everyone!

For my update this week, I thought I’d talk about the two primers that should be heading out to Kickstarter Backers next week.

The first is Amazing Space Adventures. The Physical Primer is now ready and we’re sending in the print orders to our printer. We’re very slightly late on delivering this, but it’ll be available from now on on the Store as a Physical Version!

The second is the Digital Version of the Era: The Consortium Digital Primer. The layout for v1.0 is now complete, and I’ll hopefully be sending those out  over the weekend (though I have to finish modifying the Patreon Sessions to v1.0 to go with it!). As was said in a previous Consortium update, this is mostly backwards compatible, and part of releasing the Digital Primer will be to give details of the change to v0.8 – you will still be able to play with a v0.8 Primer.

I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to these Kickstarter campaigns for their continued support, and everyone else who has purchased a primer before or since!

Comicon, Fresh Images and Primers, Oh My! – The Oracle

The weather outside might be frightful and if you’re living in the cold North it might be downright dangerous to go outside but there is good news; we’ve got plenty to keep you warm and happy indoors.

Our line-up for what’s happening at the May MCM Comicon London is taking shape. We aim to bring playable versions of Era: Lyres, our soon-to-be-announced superheroes game and (of course) Era: The Consortium to the table. Our kickstarter for Era: Lyres will be wrapped up by then and one for Era: Superheroes will just be starting. Have you got your MCM Comicon tickets yet?

I know it sounds like a lot to get done by May but we’re nothing if not ambitious! Everyone at Shades of Vengeance is working hard to bring it all together.

Besides making plans to visit us in London, we’ve got a few more things to keep you warm this week:

Order of the Link has the cover image ready for you to view on the slider (the full image may be coming out later this week, so watch this space). It’s truly tantalizing, giving the appearance of an arcane tome, and we’re really looking forward to more.

The Era: The Consortium Digital Primers will be sent out to Kickstarter backers (along with the 5 sessions) within the next week or so, putting us ahead of schedule, so warm up those dice-rolling fingers! We’re waiting on the printed proof for the rest of you who ordered the physical Primers, and work is ongoing on the rulebook, of course. We also have a pencilled page to show off for Counting Down From One so be sure to check that out when it’s released on Saturday.

Next week we’re going to release our first official story for Era: Lyres! We’re just putting finishing touches on it now and I can’t wait to see what you think.

If that’s not enough to keep you busy for at least a few hours than you’re doing it wrong. Check out those links and I’ll be back with more next week.

New Story Coming Soon! – The Oracle

Welcome and come on in! There’s plenty of fresh new space in here and I’m loving the cozy fireplace atmosphere. We don’t have all the boxes unpacked yet but we’ve decided to help you get in the spirit of things by releasing one of our original stories from the Lyres universe.

That’s right, next week about this same time we’re going to post our first official story for Era: Lyres! So, make yourself comfortable and stick around.

Until next week!

Getting Straight To Work – The Oracle

Here at Shades of Vengeance we’re heading into the first two weeks of 2015 and so far everything is all green lights and go, go, go! Back in November of 2014 we mentioned that the Rulebook Primer for Order of the Link was going into production. Well, I’m happy to tell you that we’re past the major hurdles and it’s moved on to editing. Before you know it we’ll have a Kickstarter going!

Also on it’s way through the final stages is the Amazing Space Adventures Rulebook Primer. Now that the postal service has cleared up from all that crazy holiday madness we have one less thing holding us back. Once we get the final confirmation back that the U.S. print is up to scratch, we’ll start sending them out to backers.

Check back next week for more updates!

A New Look For Our Second Comic – The Oracle

Just a few updates for you this week.

First off, did you get your copy of the Last Stand of Stiletto Unit comic? If you missed out, then stop everything and head on over to our Shades of Vengeance Store – they can still be picked up there.

Once you’re done reading Last Stand of Stilleto Unit, I know you’ll be itching to get a hold of our second comic and I can tell you that Counting Down From One is looking good. We’ve hired on a brilliant new artist, Johan Mandanin, and I hope to get my hands on a new page for you soon. In the meantime, please check out his artist gallery through Deviant Art. His work is top notch and it’s going to fit in perfectly with the Consortium style.

My last update for this week is a good one. The rulebook is getting closer! We only have some final proofreading and edits that we’re hoping to finish by the end of January and then it’s off to the races…or the printer; which would probably be quicker. As a backer myself, I plan to sit around on my porch and stare at my mailbox in breathless anticipation. But if you don’t want to do that, I suggest you trot on over to the Shades of Vengeance Store and pick up a digital copy of the Primer to get rolling right away.

More updates will be coming next week!

A busy week for Shades of Vengeance!

Hi everyone!

Between signing with Sanchit Sharma for the development of Marked For Death (See Amy’s post from yesterday for more details!) and getting Era: Lyres moving along towards a state of completion, It’s been quite a week!

I’ve not forgotten Era: The Consortium, of course, and I’ve made a few minor proofreading changes (very boring, but very beneficial, I promise!). The Primer version is just being laid out, alongside the Full Rulebook (which is also almost finished), ready for the proof printing so I can get those shipped out soon.

I’ve been working with John Serembe, the creator of Order of the Link on some editing of his story material, and we’re just getting the first bits of artwork in. We’ll be hoping to show you some of that before too long.

Finally, I’ve confirmed our attendance to conventions in 2015 this week, apart from Animé North, which we’re still working on!

Busy week, huh?

I’m very happy to be looking forward to the conventions this year with so many games being made available to you guys!

– Ed

Settling in to the new year – The Oracle

Great news today, we have the first update of the week!

Shades of Vengeance has just signed a contract with Sanchit Sharma to start development of his FATE module; Marked for Death. You can expect to see a new page for this game soon. Assassins are fun any day of the week, magical assassins even more so – I’m excited to see more of this one! I can’t tell you much right now but keep your ears tuned as we go along and I’ll slip all the best details to you as I get them.

Are you counting the days until the October MCM Comicon? Well, good news! I was just informed that not only will Shades of Vengeance be attending the event in October, but in case you can’t possibly wait that long, we will also be attending the MCM Comicon in May of this year. Set your favorite shows to record, have your roommate water your plants and pack an overnight bag. We expect to see your smiling faces there!

I can hear some of you grumbling in the background and I know what you’re going to say. “But Amy, I live in Canada or the U.S. or the Republic of I’m Totally Broke!” Well, don’t spring a leak. We’re actively looking into attending Anime North in Toronto Canada for all you folks that can’t make the trip to London. That’s just for you; because we care.

More updates will be coming later this week for Era: The Consortium, Order of the Link, Amazing Space Adventures and Era: Lyres!

The Consortium expands into 2015! – The Oracle

Here at Shades of Vengeance, we have come up with a New Year’s resolution list and it reads something like this: get more sleep, take days off, and make more comics. We’ve convened a council and plan to completely ignore the first two, but we’re already banging away on that last one!

Our second big comic, Counting Down From One, has been such a hit and the creators have had so much fun writing it that it’s turning into a trilogy. You heard me…a trilogy. Three times the awesome. So, in order to do this up right we’re going to be running a new Kickstarter to help fund the last two parts of the comic and bring it out in gorgeous full color style.

For those of you who backed our earlier Kickstarter and are waiting on your reward; we’ve got you covered. You’re going to receive Part One in full color as soon as we can get it done. Keep checking back to get more information on the upcoming Kickstarter. If you liked Last Stand of Stilleto Unit, you’re going to love this!

One last thing for everyone who’s currently playing the v0.8 Primer. The rules just got a bit better. After playtesting revealed there was room for improvement we ran a small change through some trial runs and it went over great. Don’t worry, it won’t inhibit you from playing what you’ve got right now. We’ll publish the change with the Full Rulebook so you can play with the benefit of the improvement!

A new shape for 2015!

Hi everyone!

Those of you who are keeping a close eye on our news posts will have noticed that I’ve brought on the fabulous Oracle, Amy Allworden, to write for our news posts from now on.

This is a good thing, because I know you’re all sick of looking at what I typed!

But those of you who enjoy my rambling, don’t worry, I’ll continue to give you at least one update a week on what’s going on in Shades of Vengeance land!

Thanks so much for all your support for the last year, and thanks in advance for your support during 2015.

– Ed

Welcome to 2015 with Shades of Vengeance! – The Oracle

Welcome to a brand new year! 2015 is shaping up to be a smashing good time so let’s start it off with a drum roll. Patter along if you like…..

It is confirmed! The Shades of Vengeance team will be attending the 2015 MCM Comicon in London during October. We’ll have two tables like last year and if luck holds out we’ll have more games and comics to show off. Mark it on your calendar or tape it to your cat, whichever won’t run away.

While you’re waiting for MCM Comicon to roll around you can check out our newest addition – the Low Fantasy Storytelling game Era: Lyres! The sub-site is up and first images from the artist are looking fabulous. Dust off those viking horns baby, it’s time to get your pillage on.

Era Lyres Logo for use

As long as we’re on the subject of new games I have a question for you. Have you got an amazing idea brewing in the back of your mind? Do you wake up with the cold sweats thinking you’ll never be able to realize your dream of creating that awesome game? If you like what we’re doing here at Shades of Vengeance, take a minute and check out how we’re helping others achieve their dreams.

You can submit your own idea right here online and we will help with finding the right artists, writers, editors, running a Kickstarter campaign and so much more. We love gaming, we know that you do too and we’d really like to help you get that idea out of your head and onto paper! Trust us, your friends are tired of hearing about it. It’s time to take it to the next level.

Along with Era: Lyres coming out in the first part of the year, we’re also working on a large scale game to be released later in 2015. All I can say is that it’s going to involve superheroes and it will be in a style that pays homage to the 1990’s animated series most of us grew up with. Capes… no capes, where do you stand?

Last but not least I’d like to mention that the new voice you might have noticed in the News posts belongs to Amy “the Oracle” Allworden. I’ll do my best to keep you up to date and in the know. Don’t be a stranger, come on over and say hey!

2014 Restrospective

It’s time. Sit yourself down and grab a cup of your favorite beverage, maybe even prop your feet up and put on some Al Green tunes. We here at Shades of Vengeance have compiled a highlight reel of some truly memorable achievements in 2014.

Oh, and get ready for some good old patting yourself on the back because we couldn’t have gotten here without you! Have we told you how cool and amazing you are yet? Consider yourself told.

First up! People to thank. Along with our core team of dependable folks who make the everyday magic happen, here are just a few of the people whose hard work and dedication deserve to be recognized:

Heath Heil who worked on the Last Stand of Stilleto comic. He was wonderful to work with and we wish him the very best of luck! If you haven’t already looked him up, jump over to his page and take a look around, you won’t be disappointed.

Victor Adame Minguez, thanks again to him for illustrating our story with some breathtaking artwork! Victor’s work can be enjoyed on his site.

Sofia Michailidou has contributed a staggering volume of amazing work since she first started and now we’ve got her moving on to other projects like Era: Lyres! Please stop by her page and take a look at some of her other work.

Jennifer Martin has given us some truly scary stories. She’s a lovely individual and we’re planning on more projects with her in the near future.

Amy Allworden is always willing to pick up more work to help out and has joined the writing team for at least our next couple projects! Stop by her site for a look at other works.

Now, let’s move on to some of the exciting things that happened during 2014. If you stopped by one of our convention tables, spread the word about our Kickstarter, donated or just plain gave us good vibes, we thank you!

The company Shades of Vengeance Ltd. was officially formed in February 2014, to work on the Era: The Consortium project. Forming the company really highlighted all the great things we could accomplish.

On May 20th, Ed and John attended Anime North in Toronto where they ran games and spoke on a few panels. This was where the idea to help others really started taking shape. With the experience gained from Era they realized there was so much they could help others achieve

From the realisation that we could help others came the start of our work with the creators of Amazing Space Adventures (Kickstarter completed!) and Order of the Link. There are more on the way but these ones open to anyone who wants to get in on the ground floor!

Shortly afterwards, we began our Patreon Campaign, which from then until now has been providing a brand new session every month, following its unique campaign storyline about time travel.

Dice and Stuff began broadcasting weekly podcasts of their Era: The Consortium adventures and, trust me, you don’t want to miss it. Adam Giles puts on a top notch podcast while his team of players dig their way through the nitty gritty of space battles, Consortium intrigue and how exactly you can push someone out of a moving car. Plug in and sit back for an hour’s worth of good quality entertainment.

It was a staggering year but the turnout for the Era: The Consortium Kickstarter campaign was still surprising and heartwarming; 459% funded! Here’s the part where you give yourselves that well deserved pat on the back. If you’ve helped us along and want to know where things are headed and when you can expect that next reward keep in touch with our Kickstarter updates.

At MCM Comicon the staff of Shades of Vengeance sat down with a number of gamers, some of whom had never played an RPG before. It was a great time for everyone and a great opportunity to let people know how much fun Era: The Consortium is.

Our second big comic, Counting Down From One, is nearly complete thanks to comic artist Toni Doya! Look for more updates on this in the coming weeks and check out the first images of page one, here.

The Era: The Consortium rulebook has been through professional layout and the proof is off to the proofreaders. Because of some layout changes we’ve even been able to add in a little more content and include some extra stories!

The Shades of Vengeance team ran a table at Dragonmeet 2014. The staff ran a few games and even met some folks who want to work together on new games.

Amazing Space Adventures is complete and digital rewards have been sent out; check to make sure you’ve got yours. Unfortunately, there has been a slight delay on the physical book which we hope to get fixed soon.

Well that about sums up most of the fantastic things that 2014 has brought us. Let’s move on to the great things you can look forward to in the upcoming year. We’ve got more games, more comics and we’re coming to more conventions so you can get some dice rolling yourself!

Order of the Link is due out in the first half of 2015.

Era: Lyres, a truly imaginative Low Fantasy RPG that’s sure to get you hooked, is set for the first half of 2015.

We’ve got another ambitious game, something on the level of Era: The Consortium, starting up. It’s too soon to give away spoilers so you’ll just have to check back in for more details!

Conventions, oh yes, there will be conventions. We don’t have dates and names yet but you’ll be the first to know when and where you can find us. Stop by and don’t be shy!

We have plans for more comics from the Era: The Consortium universe as well as others so keep checking back for sneak peeks and updates.

We’ve also got “Marked For Death” starting out which is a FATE module about magic-wielding assassins. If there’s one thing better than an assassin it’s one that can shoot a fireball.

Keep checking back because we’ve got much more planned for 2015!

Era: The Consortium Dice and Stuff Podcast Episode 16!

Hi everyone!

Some of you may have already heard some of the Dice and Stuff podcasts of Era: The Consortium. They’re doing a great job – I listen to them myself, every week – and they’ve just done their latest release a couple of days ago.

You can find all of the Era: The Consortium podcasts right here, and follow the adventures of Claymore Unit as they… run around the Consortium and hit things with sledgehammers. Just because.

They have now reached 16 hour-long episodes, so you have the chance to fill an entire day!

In seriousness, it’s great fun, and gives a good insight into the rules.

Era: The Consortium General Update

Hi everyone!

I’ve not posted here for a while, and I apologise for that! I’ve been very busy with various things to do with this project.

It’s now time for me to give you the full update!

The Rulebook

Good news on this front – this has gone through the first round of changes from the layout lady. I’ve now edited those changes and am waiting for her to come back to me with those edits… which I’ll then pass out to proofreaders.

I’ve been able to expand the content of the book quite significantly, especially the story, where I’ve been able to add a significant number of entries to the timeline and even an extra story or two.

Any of you who have visited us at conventions will see that the layout has changed significantly from the v0.8 we have had to show. The below are only screenshots from a PDF, but I hope you can see what we are aiming for.

We do have a couple of things we are working on still – making the tables stand out, figuring out a bit of a layout change for the worked examples in the book, that type of thing, but everything is going great right now.

The New Comic – Counting Down From One

The comic, Counting Down from One, is coming along nicely! Here’s page 1 (without dialogue) for you to feast your eyes upon:

Actually, we’re so pleased with the comic that we’re thinking of doing a colour version. We’ll let you know the details of that when we make a final decision!

I’ll continue to keep you all updated, of course, on everything going on but for now that is everything.

– Ed

Amazing Space Adventures Digital Rewards sent!

Hi everyone!

I’m pleased to be able to tell you all that, as of yesterday evening, all Amazing Space Adventures Digital rewards have been sent out.

In addition, as the printed rulebook is going to be slightly delayed (due to the Christmas postal rush), we have sent out digital copies to everyone who was awaiting a Physical version. We’re hoping this will salve the blow of a less than perfect physical reward schedule.

Dragonmeet 2014

Hi everyone!

Shades of Vengeance were at Dragonmeet, and we met a tonne of new people there and had a lot of fun… including my first ever group who deliberately murdered well over a billion people! Amazing.

Anyone who missed Dragonmeet, you can still pick up a copy of our games at our store!

You can find pictures of the event (and the Orange Dice of Death!) up on Facebook, here.

The Link Approaches!

Hi everyone!

Great news about Order of the Link, a new game that we’re currently working on with John Serembe!

We’re now working on producing the Primer, and expect the Kickstarter to begin early next year.

If you’re looking for a universe-hopping game where you can be fighting with laser swords one week and magic the next, look no further – this game handles past, present and future, fantasy and science fiction and everything in between!

Keep an eye out here for more information.
